Due to scheduling, this year's party was after Halloween. The theme was a Harvest Ho Down and most people came dressed in their boots, hats, etc. We had good weather, fantastic food, great music, and of course the best company! Thanks to all who came!! It was a great night!

Hey party goers, we have a question for you! We are considering hosting an additional party this year. The idea we are kicking around is "2nd Chance Prom". We're thinking... pitch $$ in for a nice catered dinner and dancing the night away in the spring time. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in leave a comment here. I took a whoppin 4 pictures with my camera dang it and 2 were of me and mike. How lame is that?? Look at this lovely dance floor Rachelle, Jessica and I put together. Jess and Rachelle spent most of the time on the ladder. Like a ding dong I pulled something in my old back on the first table I picked up. Aging is so annoying.

Our first arrival was the Ghee couple. Their new in the Lakeview Ward and new to the party. Most of the party goers were fashionably late. I admit I was getting worried at 7:00 things were looking sparse. But the next 30 minutes a gaggle of people arrived.. WHEW!

So Mike and I were Bo Peep and a Black Sheep. This hook came in handy for dragging people out on the dance floor.

2008 Halloween Bash Tobler Home

2008 Was another great party held at the Tobler Home (unfortunatly our numbers have outgrown the Crabtree home and I'm not getting a bigger house for a bigger party, LOL). We did experience some gusty winds but as usual the costumes were great, the music was great and the food was great.

2007 Halloween Bash Huxford Home

Halloween Bash 2007 was our first time in the Huxford home and our biggest attendance yet. We had 106 people show up this year. WOW who knew the bash was going to be so popular. This was also Andy and Rachelle's first year in their new home and new ward. It was fun to have new blood at the bash.

2006 Halloween Bash Tobler Home

This is our first year at the Tobler Home, what a roomy back yard they have and Bill's DJing was outstanding. Our numbers have doubled this year 80 people were in attendance and the costume creativity bar was raised. Our guests went all out this year the pictures are so fun to look at.

2005 Halloween Bash Crabtree Home

This is the first Halloween Bash year. The Crabtree's, Tobler's and Huxfords were sitting around talking about Halloweens past and come to find out the Crabtree's and the Tobler's had hosted parties in the past and we thought we'd give it a go once again. Mary made up some invitations, Rachelle came up with the fun finger idea. And the reactions were great when people found fingers hanging on their door knobs. Bill is a smokin D.J. so the plans were perfect. The Crabtree's had recently moved into their new place which had a big RV parking side yard and stone tile floors, great for a little party.

And what an awesome little party it was. We had 40 people show up! WOW it must have been time for a shin dig in this town because people were cuttin loose and gettin down. We had SO much fun!! We also handed out Golden Finger Awards for best costumes.

2008 Invite Hocus Pocus Inspired

Since the boys were on last year's invite it was the girls turn. My mom was coming for a visit and I knew that she and her sisters were the Hocus Pocus witches years before. The only costume that survived was my Auntie Carolyn's Winnie dress. Then I remembered my friend Jason (the costume designer) had a Sarah Costume. So my mom whipped up a new Mary dress in no time. Jason loaned me the wigs to style (he still had the blonde Sarah styled) and wha la!

My photographer friend Brian Brown who is just an amazing commercial, fashion and conceptual shooter offered his services. Here we are chatting during lighting tests.

It took us a while to get the giggles out and get into character but in the end I think we've come up with my favorite invitation yet!!

Invite 2007 Haunted Mansion Inspired

Andy Huxford came up with the brilliant invite idea of the Haunted Mansion. I think it was because we had spent so much time in Disneyland this year. It was a good year for Disneyland. This really is one of my favorite posters from the park as well as one of my favorite rides.

Here are some outtakes from the photoshoot. As you can see the guys had a great time pretending to be Phineas, Gus and Ezra the hitchhiking ghosts.

Since so many people didnt "get" the invite from 2006 (guess I'm the only Young Frankenstein fan) we thought it would be fun to make a fancy schmancy one to give out with our cool fingers. Mary came up with the idea of classic monsters. And working with black and white images. It took a while for people to catch on that it was us. Most thought it was just a generic picture. These invitations really started a buzz about the party. It was so exciting to hear people talk about it in various circles. "Did you get invited?" We felt like the cool kids on the block.
